Saratoga Springs, N.Y. (October 28, 2005) - The Shirecrest Equine Education Center, Science Hill, K.Y., announces the launch of their child-friendly website for Lash's Lessons™, designed by Mountain Media.

Lash's Lessons™, an inventive children's program created at the Shirecrest Equine Education Center Inc., delivers its message of fun and social responsibility to the Internet with the help of the Web developers at Mountain Media. The Lash's Lessons program reaches children through unique characters and imaginative storytelling, imparting valuable lessons such as healthy decision-making and avoiding peer pressure. The main character, Lash, is a real Gypsy Horse and is the first colt of his breed born in America. The young horse, both in the story and at the Center, represent youth, curiosity and a general love of fun. Lash is joined by two other Gypsy Horses, Merrow and Lir, who have been lovingly donated to Shirecrest by Lise and Steven McNamara of Blarney Stone Acres.

The popularity of Lash's Lessons has spawned a line of children's books, stuffed animals and a packed appearance schedule. The passion for educating and entertaining children led the creator, Jacki Clark, to broaden her program's reach by introducing it to the Web. "The next logical step in reaching and helping more children was the Web," says Clark. "And Mountain Media was there every step of the way. From the creative process to helping us streamline the eCommerce, Mountain Media was innovative and responsive."

Mountain Media's web developers met the challenge of creating a site that reflects the goals of Lash's Lessons with their innovative Mountain Commerce 6.0. Mountain Media's latest brand of eCommerce solutions offers businesses the opportunity to streamline their online stores with advanced catalogue presentation and order-fulfillment process along with search-engine marketing capabilities. In addition to the online store, the Lash's Lesson site is designed with features like a "characters" section which offers the viewer individual profiles of each of the characters in Friendly Acres, the setting for the story. The site also includes a section where the events and photos from Lash's Lessons can be posted and displayed. "It was a pleasure to work with Jacki on the Lash's Lesson's project," says CEO of Mountain Media, James Curley. "She runs a terrific organization and Mountain Media is thrilled to offer these flexible eCommerce solutions to such a noble undertaking."
