The Search Marketing Manager (SMM) takes responsibility for leading the direction, workflow, implementation and scheduling of client marketing programs to help increase organic search listings and rankings and to meet individualized marketing plan goals and company objectives as defined for each project.

The SMM should be a technical wizard and a proficient supervisor and will be responsible for orchestrating SEM team activities to ensure compliance with deadlines and the production of meticulously accurate and inspired reports with thoughtful analysis and ingenious recommendations. Successful candidate will be prepared to flawlessly deliver a final product, suitable for issuance directly to the client.

The Search Marketing Manager will take a top-down approach to reviewing client accounts, and will protect each account against any wasteful delegation of time or spending so that the client receives the most value for each session. The SMM will lead by example–by keeping up-to-date on the latest techniques and best practices, sharing knowledge and educational resources with other staff and by putting forth extra effort to accomplish (or exceed) project, department or company goals and deadlines.


Responsibilities:
 
•    Lead the strategic development of Mountain Media’s SEM product and services.
•    Lead the strategic development of SEM campaigns that meet client marketing goals.
•    Plan, create, implement and analyze client Search Marketing Campaigns
•    Meet required goals and deadlines associated with each project and campaign.
•    Provide regular productivity reporting to Sr. Management
•    Conduct weekly departmental meetings that include a prepared agenda.
•    Provide guidance, support and assignments to other SEM staff.
•    Identify opportunities in the marketplace to solidify and expand client visibility and profitability.
•    Conduct extensive market/competitor research to be leveraged in the execution of these campaigns.
•    Produce targeted messaging for the creative development of the campaigns.
•    Communicate effectively with clients and provide regular reporting, consultation and feedback.
•    Determine, plan and adhere to project/session milestones and completion dates
•    Lead department in initiatives to continuously expand knowledge, education and best practices
•    Author content and implement on and off site optimization.

Requirements:

•    BA/BS degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in online marketing
•    Documented experience in running successful organic and paid campaigns for both B2B and B2C clients.
•    Proven ability to work independently and to synthesize large amounts of data under deadlines
•    2+ years experience with Web Analytics platforms
•    Demonstrated skills conducting effective A/B testing
•    Experience developing effective social media campaigns and an active persona on social media platforms
•    Experience with major affiliate marketing programs
•     Ability to work closely and communicate well with key clients
