Google Analytics

The first step to improving sales on your Web site is to understand your site visitors. Whether you are a local brick and mortar business catering to customers in Albany, NY, or an online only retailer serving consumers across the country, we work with you to understand their needs. Google Analytics is the enterprise-class web analytics solution that gives you rich insights into your website traffic and marketing effectiveness. Powerful, flexible and easy-to-use features now let you see and analyze your traffic data in an entirely new way. With Google Analytics, you're more prepared to write better-targeted ads, strengthen your marketing initiatives and create higher converting websites. Having metrics in place from the start will prove to be valuable for understanding trends over time. To get started you need to create a “Google Account” and drop a small piece of code onto your site. Below is a link to a video tutorial and resources for getting started:

Google Sitemaps

Sitemaps are a great way to tell Google about pages that are on your site that Google might not otherwise discover. In its simplest terms, an XML Sitemap—usually just called “Sitemap”, with a capital S—is a list of the pages on your website. Creating and submitting a Sitemap helps make sure that Google knows about all the pages on your site, including URLs that may not be discoverable by Google's normal crawling process. Google Merchant Center (AKA Google Base)

This is what is known as a “product feed” which allows you to add your product catalog data to Google and make it available to Google Product Search and other Google services. Configuring your product feed is done at the “Google Merchant Center” which uses the same Google Account credentials as the services above.
