Managing Your Content with Mountain Publisher
No Cookie Cutter DesignsA Web site powered by Mountain Publisher will have its own unique look and feel. The actual content of the site (text, images, PDFs, etc.) is stored in a database on a server. When a visitor comes to your site, this content is automatically flowed into a "display template" that displays the appropriate information for any given page. With this type of architecture, it is possible to have a single template (or even multiple templates) capable of displaying an unlimited number of pages. Administrative InterfaceMountain Publisher uses an intuitive back-end interface to allow users to add and update the site's content. To manage content, the site owner logs onto the password protected back-end of the website using a browser. The Mountain Publisher site administration window has a comprehensive help system in place to guide new users. Any person with basic computer skills and an Internet connection can master the Publisher interface. WYSIWYG or HTMLMountain Publisher can be used with its WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get), word processor-like text formatting tools for users that don't want or need the power of directly editing HTML. For power users and geeks, the WYSIWYG tools can be turned off to allow direct input of HTML, providing the best of both worlds. |
